About Me
Sheri Caldwell is a resilient and passionate artist whose life was forever changed by Polio at the age of six, leaving her without the use of her arms. While confined to an iron lung, she discovered her deep love for art. By the age of ten, Sheri had taught herself to use her feet for daily tasks—including painting. A devoted single mother, she raised her two children, Melissa and Douglas, while traveling across California showcasing her work at art shows. Her artistic journey led her to study at the University of California, Santa Cruz, supported by a scholarship from Norton Buffalo of the Steve Miller Band. With over five decades of experience painting in oils on canvas, Sheri continues to pursue her passion, inspired most by the enduring love and strength of her children.
